Feeling so tired these days. Sigh. Been eating a lot of junk these holidays too and especially in recent weeks. I am getting fat! (>.<) Mamamia! Dismayed at unsightly bulges that were not there previously. I MUST really exercise and stop eating so much rubbish. But then, when I am feeling out of sorts, I seek food (especially junk) as my refuge. What a turn-off. Women. I'm not too sure if I'm glad I am a female sometimes. (-.-) *Shrugz*
Trouble is, when one's been fat once, they are more self-conscious. For obvious reasons of not wanting to go back the way they've been once. Unavoidable worries. I was fat before, so I know. :( It's an issue with myself only, the difficulty of believing I look ok, not fat, not whatever. Thus the constant weight-watcher I am. Sometimes, people are made to behave the way they do for senseless reasons, even if they know it's senseless. But, there you have it. Nothing is perfect in this world. Doesn't help when my dearest is skinny like hell. He jokes about 'fats transfer'. Irritating fella. (-.-)
Well, time will tell if I succeed in making my body tissues firm again. First thing tomorrow: Running with Dearie around his neighbourhood. Ha! Let's just say he has the same problem as I do, perhaps worse. Skinny stick with fishball in the middle. Wahahaha.. Ooops. Speak for myself. Sorrie Dar. :p But yea, that's my revenge for joking about fats transfer. Bleh!
Good news is I have decided to run away from lab these last few days of my pathetic holidays. Feels like a sinner because I can't help but feel I should do something but yet I don't know what I should do. Not like I have anything to do for the vacation project anymore, still the uneasiness lingers. :S Shit sucks. I hope 'hecking' sinks in soon so that I can feel less guilt.
This Saturday is my cousin's daughter's 1st month! The 2nd girl to him and wife. *Beams* According to my mom, she has a scholarly look. Hahaha.. Well, both my cousin and his wife are teachers, so can be expected. Heehee.. Shall take pictures of her this Saturday.

It's early in the morning at 9 am. And I am awake because I just woke up especially to book a NMR slot for tomorrow. *BIG YAWNZ* Just feel like lazing around today. And I need more sleep so I am going back to bed after this. Slept at 2 plus yesterday because I forgot the time as I was writing my lab stuff! :( My eyes are so droopy now and yet I am here. Hahaa.. Ok, I'll probably be wide awake after finishing this so I will just take a nap in the afternoon. Free from lab today.
Had a nice weekend though I don't know why, over the weekend, there was a lot of talk about cancer. Hmm.. Nevermind. I just wish for good health upon those fighting against it, and peace to those who have departed this life from it.
Finally met up with Dearie on Saturday, yes, I said finally because I just missed him especially so this week. Weird. Must be the post-chalet syndrome. Sometimes, I just feel that one should not be overly happy at any one time because this extreme happiness will go away, and one will then start to experience withdrawal symptoms. Bahahahhaha! I think it applies to being too exhilarated at any one time.
Back to what I was saying, yes, I met Dearie and bought BK breakfast for us and it was good! Relaxed and slacked with Dear, watching TV, surf net and play games, then napped the afternoon away while my poor sick love studied his notes. Sighz.. He is coughing and having throat irritation again.
After dinner at night with Dear, travelled to Jiamei's house to have a four-girl talk. Hahaha.. Discussing boys and love and what it should all be about. Funny. It just goes to show love is quite subjective in terms of the scale of feelings, yet there seems to be a central stream of what is unanimously agreed on this wonderful thing. Love is perhaps the most complex emotion of all human emotions. I feel that love that comes from a person takes on that person's character and personality.
Anyway, why am I talking about all these when I am suppose to sleep?! So, I had a good talk with the girls and reached home after 12 am. Sunday was Dear day again. Muahahaha.. Ok, I quite agree it's enough. :p
Love is always there.

Just came back from chalet-ing with Dearie. So tiring. But it was a good get-away. Finally feel more relaxed after such a long time. Took many many pix, didn't even care what we were snapping. Lol. Sentosa has indeed changed quite a bit, it is different from the last time I went there, which was bloody long ago. Checked in at about 3 plus, lazed around and went for an early dinner at Sakae at the Siloso Beach, can't remember what the full name was but the food was appetizing, hotplate chicken and tofu, salmon and oyster, unagi and enoki 石锅拌饭 and especially the Sho-ju cheesecake we had at the end. Yummilicious! Then we went to the Sky Tower, I thought it was supposed to be Carlsberg but now it is Tiger. The view was beautiful but the ride was regretfully short. Went to the Songs of The Sea, which was not really very exciting, but still enjoyable. After that we headed to the Jazz by The Beach entertainment programme at the Cool Deck, and that Saturday night, we got Ruth Ling and friends performing for us. Amazing music, the combined harmony of the drums, saxophone, keyboard and electric guitar. And the lead singer has a great voice. Love the song at the finish, 月亮代表我的心, the rendition by David Tao.
Had a totally slack day at the beach the following day, which was a Sunday, and that means that the beach was totally crowded. Quite a few bikini babes but sad to say, not a lot of hunks to drool over. So Dearie benefitted more from the trip. Lol. The sun was hot but not piercingly hot, and there were clouds floating in the azure sky, almost as lazy as us. Heehee. I think I can trick myself into thinking I am somewhere on a far far away island as Dearie said. Went back at about 5 plus to prepare for BBQ. Had a glitch there, because we were such poor 'fire-starters'. LOL! Beginning to appreciate Ben and Teddie more for getting the fire up during Devilz' BBQ 2 Saturdays ago. In the end, the charcoal grill was set up hot and proper and we managed to cook all our food, which turned out very good despite the initial stumble. Prawns, fish and chicken fillets, cheesy white chicken sausages, marshmallows and enoki mushrooms. Oh, and the wonderful cheese garlic bread from 7-11 plus a huge bottle of cold green tea. We were bbq-ing and perspiring like mad. And the group beside us was damn 强. They bbqed crayfish and beef steaks! Like omg. Lots of crayfish and steaks in 3 rows and in different batches. Like OMG! But well, they are working adults, think it was a company gathering. Rich lor. Hahaha.. Next time we should try that during class BBQ. Heehee..
On the third day, we went for a jungle trail and nature walk. Explored the part of Sentosa we never explore before. It was quite a different experience. A bit weird after coming out of the trail 2 hours later to 'find ourselves back in urban civilisation', to quote Dearie. Lol. Yeps, the trail came out to the Cineblast and Sentosa 4D magix place, complete with a convenience store, fruit juice bar and a oxygen bar where you 'drink' pure oxygen. So weird to see the 'apparatus' and 'set-up' for the drinking. Lol! I never thought I could see conical flasks and plastic tubings during my chalet-ing. Anyway, we stopped at Subway near the Sky Tower for lunch and went on to the Merlion. The interior was dark and causes a neon blue glow on white-coloured objects, and there was this Merlion show which tells us the story about the Merlion and how it came about. The animation was really cool and interesting. There was this lucky Merlion treasure coin that they gave us at the entrance and we had to insert these into one of the miniature Merlions to get a mystery gift at the souvenir shop. In the end, I got a silver Fort Siloso badge and Dearie got a plastic fan. Hahaha.. I swopped with Dearie for the fan. The fan is so cute la! Got back to the chalet to change and went Vivo City to have dinner and to watch the movie Red Cliff. It was such a disappointment. And I was completely stunned when the movie ended with 'to be continued....'. I didn't even know it was in two parts. Plus the 赤壁之战 haven't even been fought yet in this part!!!!! What the... (-.-) Very amusing indeed. Well, at least the dinner wasn't disappointing. (^.^) It was superlicious! Had dinner at The Serenity, and their food was sumptuous. We had one of their Tapas, can't remember what it was called, but it's like a tortilla wrap with spices and flavourful chicken. I had grilled dory, that came along with raisin tumeric rice and a huge serving of sauteed mushrooms, capsicums and tomato strips. Dearie had this chicken maincourse which had a very thai and indo flavour to it. Very delicious as well. I think I might go back and try a few other dishes, but then, the menu is a little limited. The place has live music and is sort of like half a bar, with an extensive drinks menu. The ambience is not bad too, can dine alfresco as well.
When we got back from Vivo, it was about near midnight already, and we visited the Merlion again. Different feel at night. Quite romantic in fact. Due to the many lights on the trees, the ground, everywhere. Took pictures of the purplish glowing Merlion and of the lighted trail leading up to it. Started drizzling, and Dearie had this mad idea of a mini party, and hence we went to the 7-11 to get food and stuff. Didn't really get a lot of food of course. Just a little supper.
It was great weather these few days. The chalet was fun and very much needed. Felt my mood lift and feel more relaxed.
Anyway, it's back to the lab tomorrow and I need more sleep.

Whoosh! Another week has passed. :) Was really busy last week. Went to lab 5 days in a row, tuition after lab on Monday and Tuesday night, met Dearie on Wednesday for dinner, had dinner at Sakae Sushi with Angel and Rong on Thursday, went lab in the morning, then had lunch with Shao, Mei and Qin at White Dog's Cafe at Vivo on Friday, went to Orchard with Dear after that in the evening, had buffet for lunch at Sakura at the Science Centre to celebrate Dear's cousin's birthday on Saturday, then went to his aunt's house to play mahjong with his cousins and had choc cake from Secret Recipe. Super yummy. Had tuition in the early morning on Sunday, spent the rest of the day preparing food for class BBQ at night at Shao's place. It was good! :) Save for the fact that there were TOO MANY hotdogs. Gross. I didn't eat any of them. Haha.. Chalet's coming and I am looking forward to going away from everything for a while. Just me and dearie lost in our 二人世界. (^.^) Muahahahaha..
